More New Beginnings

I have been avoiding writing on here for fear of saying something that will be used against me in the future.  Isn't it a shame that there are people out there waiting for the opportunity to take advantage of anything positive that someone is trying to do to better their lives just because they have a need for negative drama in their lives.  I have been advised by a friend to start another blog but I have decided to throw caution to the wind and continue with this one.  I do love to write and keeping my friends and family up to date is important to me.

April has been a mixture of cold and warm weather and now that the month is drawing to an end we have been experiencing rain and some pretty high winds.  It looks like within a week I will have to get the grass mowed but isn't that a sure sign that spring has sprung?  I look forward to that first smell of cut grass!

Spring is also a great time for new beginnings.  As I mentioned in March, Steve has moved in and we continue to work out the kinks of a new relationship.  Along with that new relationship we have taken in a young woman with some unique special needs.  We are trying our best to give her a life of dignity and respect and so far we are all enjoying the experience.  We are hoping soon to be adding another member to our family...a guy for Steve to spend time with!

I am so happy that I have been able to take the house off the market as I have felt since the first time I walked through it that I was meant to be here.  Now I understand why and I feel that by giving of myself and my home to provide a full and meaningful life to someone else will also bring meaning and fullness to mine.

Steve and I both know that there will be many bumps and challenges along the way but we are willing to learn and try our best in what could be our biggest accomplishment.

Thanks to my daughter Kristie for all your encouragement and understanding.
